Course Introduction

Start your journey to safe driving with an engaging overview of the Simcoe Driving School experience. Learn about our government-approved curriculum, the benefits of combining online and in-car training, and explore how our expert instructors set you up for lifelong driving confidence. This introduction also explains the step-by-step process from registration to certification, highlighting our flexible scheduling and high pass rates.

Lesson 1: Online MTO Course Completion

Access interactive, Ministry of Transportation (MTO)-approved online modules that cover Ontario’s rules of the road, collision prevention, responsible driving habits, and defensive techniques. Complete 20+ hours of engaging multimedia lessons, quizzes, and activities at your own pace. Successfully finish this stage to get a course completion certificate required for booking your in-car lessons and qualify for insurance discounts in Ontario.

Lesson 2: In-Car Lesson

Develop practical driving skills through 10 or more hours of personalized behind-the-wheel instruction with a certified instructor. Lessons are 1-on-1, focusing on real-world maneuvers such as turning, parking, lane changes, and responding to traffic situations safely. Learn to drive in various conditions—urban, rural, and highway—while practicing safe habits and building your confidence for your road test.

Lesson 3: Final Exam (Licence Exam)

Prepare for and take your official driving (G2 or G) licence exam. In this stage, review all skills with your instructor and receive targeted coaching to ensure you’re ready for the practical road test. Get tips on what to expect during the exam, required documents, and strategies to remain calm and focused. Upon successful completion, achieve your Ontario driving licence and join the many confident graduates from Simcoe Driving School.
